Domestic Silence (2006)

"Oppression can only survive through silence." Carmen de Monteflores

Domestic Silence discusses “the quiet lady”, a very common public sign one finds in most of the hospitals in Turkey. I read it as part of the discourse of the State, an extension of the mechanism of control, silencing and depolitizing the public.
