Price Per Breath (2008)

While the conquest of energy and water resources is common practice, we believe that, the struggle for commercializing clean air will be the next frontier that will define the battlefields of the future. Here, we propose a public performance in a showroom where participants can experience a scenario from such future. We demonstrate a fictitious product, an air quality monitoring system that can dynamically price the value of branded-air per human breath. By allowing the audience interact with "Purewalk: purified air path system," we intend to bring into attention not only future corporate interests, but also today’s responsibilities towards the environment as we encourage them to enjoy the 'free air' they have today.
