Gold
Sunday, February 25th, 2007Every morning I wake up as a little fish. I shine my golden skin in a hurry and jump out of my bowl into a stream blending a river feeding a humongous power plant, after a long flow. Everything happens so quickly there, one cannot stop to think, question, or even just to look at. All fish start falling down from the falls, takes 7 to 8 hours to fall, reach the base, and then glide back to the surface. The moment of smashing the water gives a strong headache so the only thing one could ever dream of at the end of the day would be one little isolated puddle to lay in unmovingly till the next morning.

I have jetlag: My body cannot realign my new rhythm. And I’m totally confusing the control key and the command key in whichever platform. I’ll make an entry of my observations of -not so civil- life, at the weekend, if I survive.

Saturday, February 17th, 2007I’ve been reading “The Origin of the Family, Private Property and The State” by Engels, who discusses about the origins of monogamy and the rise of the family concept. This may sound weird but it occurred to me that the earlier societies of homo-sapiens reproduced among their small communities. Yes? Incest was not a concern at that time. Only after years later they realized incest causes severe deformation on the new-born. If they are our ancestors from whom generations reproduced, this deformation is in our genes. Perhaps differs in degree, but we’re all defective. Maybe that’s why human beings are brutal, greedy, etc…

This scketch-blog is about ideas, which hopefully will turn into projects; videos, performances, and events. Or perhaps will never make it into an art venue but exist as entries. This is the backstage of contrary.info. No guest pass is necessary, feel free to look around, comment and critique. Oh! and enjoy.
